The Fairview Area Jeane Dolan Junior Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to one Junior Chamber member and is named in memory of Jeane Dolan who had a professional career full of achievements but what made her so special was the way she cared for people. Always honest, helpful and seeking to do the right thing. She put others needs ahead of her own and refused to take anything for granted. Jean was first to help a stranger, she cared about her community spending countless hours volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce. She was looking for ways to involve more Fairview high school students in Jr. Chamber activities and help develop them into future leaders.

The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce George Gross Scholarship

This scholarship is named in memory of George Gross who was very instrumental in founding the generous fund of the Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program.  Mr. Gross was a well educated, unassuming resident of Fairview who, like countless others, saw the need to assist the students of Fairview High School continue their education beyond the high school level.

The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce Mac and Margaret McGeehee Scholarship

This scholarship is named in memory of Mac and Margaret McGehee who were very instrumental in growing the generous fund of the Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program.  The McGehee’s were long time residents of Fairview who raised funds through numerous Nature Fest projects and their annual iris bulb sale.

The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce Nature Fest Scholarship

This scholarship is named in recognition of Nature Fest, the Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce’s primary fundraiser. Previously known as “Community Day”, this community event has been an annual tradition in Fairview since 1983. Held in Bowie Nature Park each September, Nature Fest is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and businesses to showcase their wares and for the community to celebrate the unique and beautiful town of Fairview. The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce awards this scholarship to assist students at Fairview High School in continuing their education beyond the high school level in recognition of Nature Fest.
