Scholarships

 

The Fairview Chamber of Commerce awards several thousand dollars in scholarships each year to graduating high school students in the Fairview community. Eligible students are those attending Fairview High School, those who are homeschooled or attend private school and are residents of Fairview, and who are continuing their education. Further eligibility information and requirements are detailed in the Scholarship Packet which can be found here or can be obtained from FHS.

2018 Scholarships

The Fairview Chamber of Commerce Nature Fest Scholarship

Named in recognition of the event that funds the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program. Held at Bowie Nature Park each September since 1983, Nature Fest spotlights and supports local businesses, provides a unique day of fun and entertainment for area residents, and celebrates the beautiful town of Fairview.

The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce George Gross Scholarship

Named in memory of George Gross, a well educated, unassuming resident of Fairview who cared deeply about assisting Fairview students who wanted to continue their education, and who was instrumental in founding the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program. 

The Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce Mac and Margaret McGeehee Scholarship

Named in memory of Mac and Margaret McGehee, longtime Fairview residents who worked diligently to help fund the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program through numerous projects and contributions to Nature Fest each year, and through an annual iris bulb sale.
